A football model you can learn from

Super League is an independent tactical game. Use it to explore width, depth, support, passing lanes and the cost of a tactical choice. Its players move according to game rules and editorial attributes.

The moving pitch is a simulation, not tracking from a real match. A real fixture can give a simulation its teams and date. It does not make the simulated runs, score or statistics a reconstruction of that game. This is a digital-twin teaching prototype; it has no synchronized player-tracking feed. See Research for the evidence, experiment and disaster-planning lesson.

What is current, and what is estimated

How to read the spatial views

The Spacing Lab computes straight-line width, depth and nearest-teammate gaps from the ten outfield positions shown. It excludes the goalkeeper and does not model opponents. Save one shape, change one variable, and compare.

Post-match position maps sample the simulated match after settled kicks. Lines join those samples; they are not continuous tracking. Heat represents sampled occupancy, not time spent in each area. Resetting for a kickoff or changing ends can create a positional jump. Do not interpret these views as real running distance, speed, workload or injury risk.

Use the model to ask a question, then check the idea against footage, your players and your coaching context. It is not a validated player assessment or match forecast.

Sources and rights

Club and player names are used descriptively. Super League is unofficial and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by a club, league, federation, player or data supplier. Portraits are stylized game illustrations, not verified likenesses.

The public build uses editorial game squads. Private Transfermarkt-derived roster and tournament dumps are excluded or replaced by separately authored public records. Removing a source name or an identifier does not grant redistribution rights; the release checks reject those markers rather than relabel them.

Code and original editorial material remain copyright Nonarkara. Third-party material retains its own rights. Any future commercial release or licensed tracking integration needs a separate rights review.

Artwork review remains open: the repository records a generated-portrait workflow, but it does not yet contain complete per-image generation terms and permission records for all artwork and personal photographs. Stylization and an unofficial label do not establish reuse rights. The gallery is illustrative; it is not documentary match photography. Its corrected 2022 final caption follows the French federation match report: Messi scored twice and Mbappé three times.

Privacy

Game preferences and saved simulations may be stored in your browser. Optional match telemetry is controlled by the in-game consent choice. Hosting providers receive ordinary connection information when serving the site; Google Fonts receives requests when loading the game's typefaces. This page does not run analytics.

Report a data error or rights concern through the project owner's GitHub profile, identifying the affected page and material.
